Types Of Memberships
Builder Member
A Builder Member is a company that holds a Dwelling Contractor license and is engaged in the business of building or remodeling homes, multi-family units, schools, commercial buildings and other structures in the Chippewa Valley. The designated Member of Record* must hold a Dwelling Contractor Qualifier license.
Cost: $575 per year
Associate Member
An Associate member is a company that is engaged in a trade or profession related to building in the Chippewa Valley (i.e. insulation, painting, flooring, title work, financing, etc) or wants to do business within the building industry (i.e. printers & signage companies, insurance, retirement, etc).
Cost: $575 per year
*The “Member of Record” is the main contact designated to receive all email & written communications, is listed in the directory as the contact person and is in charge of the CVHBA membership account. Any employees within a business can receive email communications, attend events and serve on committees.

Affiliate Member
An Affiliate member is an employee of a Builder or Associate member company. An Affiliate member is listed in the directories, can chair a committee and will receive all mailed communications. You can showcase your work at the Home Show, market your involvement in any Parade Home (with the builder’s permission), or even enter your own home. Members also benefit from being featured in social media posts, recognized as experts in local media, and highlighted in the Home Inspirations magazine. Additionally, we offer advertising opportunities in both editions of the magazine and on our website to further increase your visibility.

The Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) offers several ways for members to save money on every day things
- Kwik Trip Program: Save 6 cents off per gallon at Kwik Trip locations. This is a greater discount than their other fleet programs and there is no minimum for number of vehicles participating.
- Health & Business Insurance: Check rates and find out if you can save money on your health insurance or business insurance plan.
- Rebate Program: Builders and remodelers can get rebates back with the Wisconsin Member Rebate program on products used such as: Delta, GAF, Mohawk, Sherwin Williams, Simpson Strong Tie and much more!

Educational Opportunities
Need your Dwelling Contractor Qualifier CEU credits? Want to enhance your business? We offer free and low-cost educational opportunities for all members and have CEU credits available for Builder Members each year at the Contractor Conference. You can also access low-cost online training programs through the Wisconsin Builders Association. Contact us for more information on upcoming education.
Political Advocacy
Let your voice be heard! As an association the voice of many is a powerful force at the local, state and federal levels. The NAHB & WBA work hard to develop key relationships with federal and state legislators to advocate for laws and regulations that are favorable to the home building industry and small businesses. The CVHBA Government Affairs committee works on local issues with local politicians along with city and county officials.

Free Legal Support
The Wisconsin Builders Association has a free attorney hotline to answer legal, safety and building code questions. This hotline can be utilized 24/7, 365 days of the year. In addition, there are over $12,000 worth of free contracts and forms you can download and use in your business! Contracts include change orders, home design contracts, home construction contracts, home remodeling contracts, lien forms and more.
